當地時間11月16日,應利比里亞國家廣播公司(LBS)邀請,孔子學院中方院長黃堅博士攜孔院師生一行三人再次來到電臺參加當地最受歡迎的Bumper Show節目。
這次訪談的主題是“孔子學院在利比里亞的積極作用”。首先,黃博士全面介紹了孔院的歷史以及招生辦學情況,他指出漢語教學已經納入利比里亞大學教學體制,學生可以通過選修漢語,獲得學分。明皓老師對孔院的品牌項目予以了詳細說明。學生喬治·莫里森從自己的經歷出發,生動形象地介紹了孔子學院的招生流程、授課方式以及他在中國的留學經歷,他認為中國人對利比里亞非常友好,并對自己獲得漢語學習的機會感到自豪。利比里亞外交部亞洲司官員約翰遜先生指出擁有世界五分之一人口的中國已對全球經濟產生了不可忽視的影響,因此利比里亞應抓住兩國友好合作的大好機遇,讓漢語教學融入國民教育體制,為更多的利比里亞人尤其是青少年贏得學習漢語的機會。此脫口秀節目共持續了半個多小時,參與節目的聽眾反映強烈,紛紛打電話進來表達自己對漢語學習的看法。
最后,電臺欄目組對孔子學院表達了感謝,并希望能繼續與孔院合作,創辦“空中漢語”節目,讓更多的利比里亞人受益。
“Chinese in the air” to be initiated in the radio program
Invited by the “Bumper show” of LBS, Confucius institute, led by Dr. Huang Jian showed up again as guests in the radio program.
The co-director of Confucius institute,Huang Jian pointed out that the institute is a non-profit public educational organization, whose aim is to provide chances of Chinese language learning and facilitate cultural exchanges. At present, Chinese language is an optional course in the University of Liberia. Students can get credits through Chinese learning. Meanwhile, Liberians from all walks of life are welcome to Chinese class for free in the institute. In addition, Ming Hao, Chinese language teacher of CI, explained that the institute also offers lots of opportunities for the students in the C.I. to visit China, such as “Chinese bridge (Chinese language competition)” and Summer/Winter Camp in China. As a student of C.I., Morris George shared his experience both in Liberia and in China vividly. He felt Chinese peoples’ friendship to Liberia and is very proud to learn Chinese. The officer from the Ministry of Affairs, Johnson said China boasts 1.3 billion populations and is a power with wide influence on the economy of the world now. Thus, it is advisable that the Chinese learning should be brought into the educational system in Liberia so that more teenagers will benefit from Chinese learning in the future. The interview lasted for about half an hour and many audiences called in to share their opinions actively.
